Strong Offense Not Enough as Seton Varsity Conquistadors Falls to Miller School of Albemarle

Both Miller and Seton had their offenses going on Thursday, but Seton eventually succumbed 15-9 in the high-scoring affair.  Seton  struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Miller School of Albemarle, giving up 15 runs. In the first inning, Miller got their offense started. L Pallante drew a walk, scoring one run.  Miller School of Albemarle took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Pr Braxton singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs, Pallante doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and J Lohr hit a solo homer. Seton Varsity Conquistadors put up six runs in the third inning. Theresa Lalli, Bella Clune, Amelia Geary, and Elisabeth Reese powered the big inning with RBIs.

 

Lohr earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Miller School of Albemarle. Lohr lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out three.

 

Lalli took the loss for Seton Varsity Conquistadors. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and 15 runs while striking out five.

 

Seton launched one home run on the day. Catherine Witter had a long ball in the seventh inning. Seton racked up eight hits in the game. Christine Pacheo, Lalli, Reese, and Witter all managed multiple hits for Seton Varsity Conquistadors. Witter, Reese, Lalli, and Pacheo all had two hits to lead Seton Varsity Conquistadors.

 

Miller School of Albemarle tallied ten hits. Braxton, Pallante, and K Monahan all managed multiple hits for Miller School of Albemarle. Braxton went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Miller School of Albemarle in hits. Miller School of Albemarle stole 14 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. G Socolli led the way with three.
